Week of Adventures Day 1

This past week has been full of adventures.

Last Monday I went with some friends up past Barber Springs to play in some fields. I took Brandy (my daughter) along with us. She rode the Polaris and I took the Skidoo. Snow was deep and awesome. We stayed out most of the day before we headed back. We have not had much snow fall at the 3k ft elevation so we stayed above 5k ft and shredded up 3 different fields and most of the hillside. One of the best bluebird days ever!

November 14, 2020

Today was the first time we got to ride this year. Good thing we left early too because by the time we headed back it was warming up and melting away!

We got a good 3 hours of being out in over 2 ft of snow and covered around 22 miles of staying close to roads and not venturing off into the trees. That was totally  fine with me because it was our first big snow and we don’t have that  much of a base, so getting stuck was easy.

I practiced a lot of turning around and J hooks. And getting that throttle thumb into shape. I’d say all in all it was a great day! I can hardly wait to get back out and ride more.

The snow has since mostly gone way but we hope to have more in the coming weeks.

Fall is here! October 12, 2020

 Wow fall is here already.

I think last year we only had a few day’s or what seemed like a few days of fall and we went right into winter with the snow falling on the mountain. This year seems to be a repeat of last. Snowing on the passes and on top of the mountain where I live. All of the animals that come to my back door are fluffed Up in the morning and have full winter coats.

I’m so excited to get back on my sled and ride and see some great new terrain this year. I have three trips planned so far and it’s only October!

First trip will be to Wyoming with some friends Amy and Brice that we met last year at a Stephanie Schwartz clinic at Togwotee National Forrest. Amy was in the clinic with me and Brice and my husband took to the back country.

The first adventure will be to Lava Mountain. It sits nestled to the Grand Tetons just off Togwotee pass. We rented a house this time so we plan to do a lot of snowmobile riding, cooking and of course video watching of our time spent on the mountain during that day. The Lava Mountain lodge looks accommodating as it sits across the street from the house, but staying in a house will far surpass the lodge experience. Since we will be in Wyoming already we hope to make it to a additional spot in PineDale Wyoming to meet up with some other friends and ride with them For a few days before heading back home. Two great places to ride and tell you all about when we return.

The second adventure planned will be To Halfway Oregon. This is the annual girls ride and auction. Girls getting together and riding the mountain for the day and dinner and auction after. The money raised will be for the Wallowa Avalanche Center in Joseph Oregon. What I love about this ride is that the girls all have different riding levels and experience. I love the compassion they have for each other to help others learn and the patience they have when you get stuck. Last year when I attended this event I brought home New skills and refined some techniques that I had learned the previous month at the clinic in Wyoming. The husbands and significant others will go on their own ride and everyone meets up afterwards. Skidoo Outlet will be a big sponsor for this ride this year! I’m so excited to be a part of it.

The third ride will be to McCall Idaho. This trip we will just go and explore with friends and enjoy the mountain. We have heard so many great things about this spot that it can’t be missed. (Hot springs?) This is only a few hours from where I live but we will plan the make the most of it and stay 4 days. Not to worry between all of these rides I plan to tackle the Manastash ridge (my home) there is plenty deep powder, backcountry riding to show you. I’m pretty sure your going to ask me why I even leave the state when we have riding like this out by back door!

Ok now let’s talk some gear!!

I have pretty much re done my entire wardrobe this 20/21 season. Not because my gear was bad or not functional but Because I love color and I love to be warm and I love to not fuss and focus on riding.

I’ll post more about this later as the time comes to actually try it out and give you more of a appropriate review.

Now let’s pray for some snow and ride!!                    ðŸ¤˜❄️❄️❄️🤘

Welcome to my Blog

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

I hope you will follow me in this years first journey as Skidoo Outlets and Buy Power Sports Gear West Coast Ambassador.

(You will get to know me as K2) As a kid there was always another Karen in our group of friends and I was always Karen2. I never liked being second and I was never really happy being called Karen2. As the years went on and this happened to me in my adult life, I gave into the fact that this was my new identity. So it was shortened and developed into K2. I now embrace it, after all who doesn’t know of K2 or even put on K2 gear? Badass!!

There is a lot to know about me and I hope to know each and everyone of you better right here while blogging and seeing feedback from all of you.

It’s going to get raw! Did you know I am a bodybuilder? Well at times, I have been in three competitions and each time I’m up on stage I do better than the last. My goal is to bring my best each time I enter. My motto is bring your best and do your best to achieve the best outcome. This follows in anything in life, especially snowmobiling!  Each time I blog I will try and slip in a little piece of my very personal life without being to specific. I’ll leave that to your imagination! :)

I hope to bring up and coming new gear trials and why I like it or don’t like it to this page. I have a great line up of new stuff coming my way to stay tuned for pictures and videos. Im so excited to show you my Klim BOA boots, DSG mono suits, 509 Carbon Fiber Helmet and so much more.

I also get to take you all on adventures of the places planned for this year via GoPro. Halfway Oregon, Jackson Hole Wyoming, McCall Idaho, are just a few places on the calendar. Of course all the beautiful mountains right behind my house called Manastash Canyon.

Bye for now
